Building Performance Analyst
About Us
ReVireo is an energy code compliance and green building services company. We provide a
range of consulting and inspection services to builders and developers on residential new
construction projects. We are currently looking to fill two full-time positions of a Building
Performance Analyst.
Position Description and Responsibilities
The Building Performance Analyst position is a hands-on, field-based role in which the
Analyst will conduct on-site inspections and tests to assess the energy efficiency of new homes.
Inspections include quantitative data collection, such as measuring HVAC duct leakage and
whole-house envelope leakage. After a training and certification period of approximately one
month, the Analyst will be assigned inspections daily by the ReVireo scheduling team. The Analyst
will travel to the assigned construction project, conduct the inspection(s) and test(s), record the
results, and communicate with the site manager, including recommendations for any failing
tests/requirements.
The Building Performance Analyst will learn and utilize construction techniques, building
science, energy efficiency terminology, construction timelines, and communication with clients.
The Analyst will become familiar with the inspection equipment and testing procedures, including
preparing construction units for inspection and diagnosing test-related issues. ReVireo will
provide all inspection equipment and materials; the Analyst will operate his or her own personal
vehicle for transportation.
Location
We are seeking applicants located in the following regions:
1. Northern New Jersey (Passaic, Bergen, Essex, Morris, Hudson counties)
o Analyst will drive to and conduct inspections in Northern NJ and Southern NY
o Analyst will start and end their work day from their own residence
2. Central New Jersey (Somerset, Middlesex counties), or a reasonable distance from our
main office in North Brunswick, NJ.
o Analyst will drive to and conduct inspections in NJ, eastern PA, and occasionally,
Southern NY
o Analyst will start and end their day from our main office in North Brunswick, NJ
Position Requirements
The successful Analyst:

Meets the requirements of the Location section above

Has his or her own vehicle, driver’s license, and car insurance

Is willing to use his or her own vehicle to travel daily for work (compensated at IRS standard mileage rate)

Is willing to drive long distances (occasionally a site may be 1.5hrs.+ away)

Is willing to transport ReVireo’s inspection equipment to inspections

Is comfortable with using an iPad, Microsoft Office, a cell phone, and basic data entry

Can lift and carry at least 40 pounds

Is comfortable on a ladder

Is comfortable with standing or walking for extended periods of time

Works well independently and manages time efficiently

Enjoys meeting new people and developing relationships with clients on-site

Is available Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:30pm (ReVireo is closed on weekends)
Required Qualifications

A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent is strongly preferred.

Preferred experience, however not required, in:
-Engineering or engineering technology
-Construction or HVAC industries
-Reading construction plans/drawings
-BPI certifications or experience

This position requires a Rating Field Inspector (RFI) certification; however, ReVireo will train and cover certification costs for the applicant. The training period is approximately one month.
Compensation

Salary starting at $40,000 – negotiable based on experience and qualifications

Reimbursement for driving, at IRS standard mileage rate
