Salary Range: Salary, depending on skills and experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• RESNET certification
• Degree in Building Science or equivalent experience in construction trade.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Good computer skills (Will be demonstrated during job interview)
• Good written communication skills (Will be demonstrated during job interview)
• Must possess valid driver’s license, good driving record
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
• Must have the ability to work well with limited supervision
• Must have good communication skills, both written and oral, and have the ability to work
with clientele of varying socioeconomic levels
• Able to work efficiently on a computer, including use of Word and Excel
• Basic math skills, including geometry
• Knowledge of HVAC systems and any appliances
• Knowledge of framing, insulation installation
• Must have good analytical and problem solving abilities
• Ability to lift in excess of 50 lbs
• Ability to work in small spaces (i.e. attics, crawl spaces)
• Able to explain diagnostic findings to homeowners and building owners, and then make
appropriate recommendations for energy efficiency and environmental quality improvements
DUTIES:
• Complete home performance testing, including combustion safety analysis, pressure
diagnostics, thermal boundary evaluation, etc.
• Input test result data into energy modeling software as part of written report with test
findings and recommendations for the client.
• Evaluate own work for errors, omissions and workmanship problems
• Take refresher courses as needed for continued competency and to maintain certifications
typically paid for by HERsLLC
• Maintain a professional atmosphere, making sure client confidentiality is maintained
• Cleans and maintains company-issued equipment daily
• Performs home performance testing and inspections in accordance with company
standards as well as RESNET standards
• Accounts for material and time used on each job, and completes paperwork daily
• Abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies
and ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected
• Other duties as assigned
Home Energy Raters LLC will provide testing equipment and laptop computer if needed. Applicant must have a new iPhone.
