We are a growing, energy inspection, modeling, as well as air source heat pump design and installation services company based in Ipswich, MA. We are currently looking to fill the position of a full-time or part-time Home Performance Analyst.

Location
Ace Energy Service’s main office is at 89 Turnpike Rd, Ipswich, MA. The Building Analyst will travel throughout eastern and central MA and can work from a home office or field office most of the time. Attending meetings in the main office will be required monthly.
Position Description and Responsibilities
The Building Analyst position primarily includes a combination of field inspection, testing, in-office analysis, and energy modeling. The position involves professional interaction with builders of new homes and homeowners as well as good communication internally with company management.
Responsibilities include conducting verification and energy audit services per Mass Save and
MA Department of Energy Resources guidelines. An understanding of rebate programs and use
of SnuggPro software will be necessary. Gathering information to design and put together
estimates for air source heat pump installations will also be required. Training in all areas will
provided.
Experience with Manual J, Manual D, and/or Manual S calculations is desired, but not necessary. A desire to learn these heating and cooling load methods and design tools is essential. After training, position requires ability to do Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) design and estimates for new and existing single-family and multi-family homes. ASHP design training will be provided.
Qualifications and Requirements
• HERS Rater, Rating Field Inspector, or equivalent BPI Certification
• Experience with in-home energy audits is a plus
• Ability to read plans and gather information to create energy models and estimates
• Manages time well and works well independently
• Ability to work in the field and in the office as necessary
• Has excellent communication skills internally and externally
• Has interpersonal skills necessary to interact with a broad range of people
• Has his or her own vehicle, driver’s license, and car insurance
Compensation
Negotiable salary based on experience and qualifications. Reimbursement for driving at IRS standard mileage rate. Health insurance and other discounted group benefits available after 6-month probationary and training period.
