Applicants applying for the NEHERS Mentorship Program must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Must be a resident of Massachusetts.
- Must be 18 years or older by the start of the class.
- Must be a US Citizen or if not a US Citizen, must be able to attest in writing that you have valid US Work Authorization paperwork to provide to an employer upon receiving an internship or job offer.
- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED, Trade School Certification, or other recognized credentials), with the exception of Trade School students in their last semester of their senior year. This requirement ensures that participants possess the foundational education needed to succeed in the program.
- Must have access to a reliable computer/laptop, mouse, keyboard, and WiFi.
- At least half of each cohort must live in an Environmental Justice Community and/or meet Low-Income Eligibility requirements.
- Having a valid Driver's License and access to a car is beneficial, but not required.
